MS AGREEMENT
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
I do hereby authorize the Carencro C’est Bon Seasoning Fest, LLC to use the submitted information including photographs for publicity purposes. I also authorize any photographs and/or videos taken during festival related activities and/or functions may be used for publicity purposes. I understand that the Carencro C’est Bon Seasoning Fest, LLC is not responsible for the loss of any of my personal belongings or any illness or accident that may occur at the interview, rehearsal, pageant, festival, or festival related activities and functions. I hereby release all volunteers and board members of the Carencro C’est Bon Seasoning Fest from any and all liability.
SECTION I – REQUIREMENTS
MS QUEEN:
- Must be and have always been a female.
- Must be of good moral character.
- May not have had an arrest or criminal conviction.
- Must relinquish all beauty titles and may not enter any beauty contest of any kind during her reign other than with express and written permission from pageant director, Ms. Alex Clause.
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
- Must be 24 years of age or older at the time of the Festival Pageant, August 18, 2024.
- Must conform to all regulations set forth by CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST.
SECTION II – RULES AND REGULATIONS
- The primary responsibility and function of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST QUEEN is her role as the Ambassador and Spokesperson of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST. She is to treat everyone with kindness and respect and always conduct herself with dignity and integrity during and after her reign in public and on social media outlets.
- QUEEN must maintain regular contact and notify the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST PAGEANT DIRECTOR regarding upcoming events that she will be attending.
- QUEEN must be available during her one year reign to represent at various functions.
- QUEEN must reply within 48 hours of receipt or before the deadline, whichever is first, even if she will not be attending, to all invitations or appearances requests.
- In the event QUEEN accepts an invitation to an event, she must be present during the entire event as called for in the invitation.
- In the event QUEEN accepts an invitation but cannot follow through on that commitment due to illness, death, or release by the INVITING DIRECTOR, a written apology is to be sent to the INVITING DIRECTOR within 72 hours after the event ends and a copy thereof must be provided to the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST PAGEANT DIRECTOR.
- All correspondence must be answered promptly, within 48 hours.
- Written Thank You notes should always be sent to hosting events attended by QUEEN.
- No person other than the parent/guardian is allowed to travel with QUEEN unless an invitation in writing is extended to that person or with the express consent of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST PAGEANT DIRECTOR. However, in no event shall that person be housed with QUEEN during that event.
SECTION III – PROHIBITIONS, CAUSES FOR REMOVAL AND PENALTIES
MS QUEEN:
- May not be arrested during her reign.
- May not use any controlled dangerous substances during her reign.
- Must conduct matters under this contract whether the queen is in crown, banner, regular clothes, formal attire, and whether at a function as a representative or not. From time of crowning until the one year reign expires, the queen’s actions, behavior, and conduct are a representation of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST.
- May not engage in any distasteful conduct during her one year reign. Examples of distasteful conduct are:
- The use of foul or abusive language at any time in public and/or social media.
- Engaging in public displays of affection (i.e. kissing on the lips, sitting on another person’s lap not blood related, vulgar dancing, fighting, etc.) or photos of the same posted anywhere by anyone at any time.
- Consuming tobacco products, or illegal substances, or excessive amounts of alcohol.
- Engaging in ANY acts or activities characterized as dishonest, immoral, immodest, indecent, in bad taste, that do not comply with the rules set forth by this contract, to include gossiping.
- Any other conduct specifically prohibited by the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST. Commission of any crime.
- May not display or share any content (photos, videos, public comments, messages, etc.) on any website or social media platform with the following:
- Politics
- Negativity
- Vulgar, inappropriate, profane, foul, sexual, abusive, or risqué language
- Alcohol (or the appearance thereof)
- Tobacco (or the appearance of)
- Drugs (or the appearance thereof)
- Sexual content including provocative dancing
- Physical violence of any degree
*At any time, the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, what constitutes the aforementioned and discuss any content deemed inappropriate.
SECTION IV – DISCIPLINARY PROCESS
Complaints or violations of the above and foregoing rules shall be handled as follows:
- First complaint from a public source will result in a warning from pageant director.
- Second or subsequent complaint, the QUEEN shall appear before CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST Board or its authorized representatives, who may take any action it deems necessary.
- Felony arrest, or for any other item specified herein, shall constitute grounds for immediate removal.
- In the event of removal, the removed QUEEN shall pay CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST the sum of $300.00 representing necessary expenses for the installation and maintenance of the new queen.
- In the event of removal, the removed QUEEN shall return all awards to CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST.
- In the event of removal, the removed QUEEN shall return all CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST property including, but not limited to, crown, train, mantle, scepter, traveling boxes and awards within 48 hours after notice of termination. If it necessary for CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST to obtain an attorney to enforce this provision, the removed QUEEN shall be responsible for any attorney’s fees and court costs incurred.
- In the event of QUEEN’s removal, the 1st Runner Up shall be crowned. In the event the 1st Runner Up cannot fulfill this obligation, the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST BOARD shall select appoint a QUEEN to fulfill the remainder of that term.
SECTION V – APPEARANCES
- QUEEN is responsible for making all arrangements for appearances.
- QUEEN shall make herself available to any media and public relations events that the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST and/or Pageant Director may arrange.
- QUEEN is expected to attend a minimum of ten (10) Festivals/Events during her reign. While attending an Event by invitation, QUEEN must remain in the area designated, for the entire time, and adhere to any schedule set by the host. While attending a Fair/Festival generally, QUEEN must engage with the public, promote the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST, and attend such event for no less than four (4) consecutive hours at the entire time.
- Attending a festival pageant or Queen’s event does not satisfy the QUEEN’s obligation to attend a FESTIVAL to satisfy her contract requirements. Pageants, balls, and events are honors, but QUEEN’s first obligation is to promote the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST by meeting and speaking to festival attendees.
- QUEEN shall attend all three days of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST during her reign. She shall arrive 30 minutes prior to gate opening each day and must get approval from pageant director before leaving Festival Grounds for any reason.
- QUEEN shall be a hostess to all visiting queens during the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST and Festival Pageant.
- QUEEN shall attend the S CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST pageant following her crowning on which date QUEEN’s reign shall expire.
- QUEEN agrees to hold harmless the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST and pageant directors for loss of personal belongings, accidents, or illnesses during travels, except for that caused by the specific gross negligence or intentional conduct of the aforementioned.
- QUEEN is expected to be knowledgeable of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST, history, events, and contests so she will be prepared to answer questions at appearances.
- QUEEN shall make herself available the week of the festival for public appearances. She will promote CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST on Local TV and Radio Stations.
- QUEEN shall post about her travels to CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST social media accounts to positively promote the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST QUEEN.
- QUEEN shall not depend on the other festival queens. QUEEN shall take responsibility to meet her obligations under this contract. Please communicate with your PAGEANT DIRECTOR if you need anything or have questions.
SECTION VI – ATTIRE
- QUEEN must always wear appropriate attire while representing CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST. Inappropriate attire examples are as follows:
- Short-shorts
- Bare midriffs
- Extremely short skirts
- Backless shirt
- QUEEN shall dress in required attire.
- Luncheon/Business attire is defined but not limited to: modest sundress, skirt/pants with nice shirt with crown/banner.
- Formal luncheon/business attire is defined as a suit (skirt or pants) with banner/crown.
- Cocktail attire is defined as knee or tea-length formal dress or cocktail pants with crown/banner.
- Formal evening wear is defined as a full-length evening gown with your formal banner.
*Any questions concerning attire should be directed to the PAGEANT DIRECTOR.
- QUEEN shall purchase and wear when instructed, a CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST polo shirts, embroidered with the Queen’s logo and title to the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST.
- QUEEN shall wear floor length gowns in all parades and formal appearances during her reign, weather permitting.
- QUEEN shall always wear CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST crown and banner during appearances, unless otherwise directed by the director of hosting festival or event.
- QUEEN is expected to always look and act her best, including having appropriate amounts of makeup (evening-style for formalwear and interview-style for day events or business wear) and hair styling relative to a given event.
- QUEEN should always have at least a “fresh faced” makeup look and neat hair for any and all appearances.
- It is exclusively the pageant director’s discretion if attire is inappropriate. Pageant director’s decision is final.
QUEEN further agrees: From the date I sign this agreement until the completion of my reign, I will conduct my activities and life in accordance with the highest ethical and moral standards, and I will not engage in any activity that might bring myself or the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST into public disrepute, ridicule, contempt or scandal or might otherwise reflect unfavorably upon any of the foregoing individuals or entities or might shock, insult or offend the community or any class or group thereof. I acknowledge that, by way of example, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing in any way, appearing in public or permitting myself to be photographed in a state of partial or total nudity or in a lewd, compromising or sexually suggestive manner constitutes a violation of this provision (this includes photographs or images that may appear on any website or social media platform). If, at any time, I am arrested or charged with the commission of a crime (including, without limitation, reckless or drunk driving or minor in possession of alcohol or drugs) or engage in any activities in violation of this provision, then the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST Board may, in their sole judgment, remove my title. CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST Board decisions on all matters arising under this provision shall be conclusive. I agree not to hold CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST, its’ Board of Directors, Pageant Director, nor anyone associated with the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST responsible for any injury or loss to myself or my personal property while representing this said title. The terms and conditions of the above contract are subject to change and any changes will be presented to the PAGEANT DIRECTOR for approval and then passed on and signed by the titleholder. I have read the above and foregoing contract and fully understand the terms and conditions thereof. By signing below, I indicate my desire to accept those terms and conditions and be bound by them.
I understand the PAGEANT DIRECTOR is the immediate supervisor of all royalty and any associated person that wears the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST logo and represents the festival alongside any royalty. All royalty and associated persons, including family and friends, are required to abide by the instructions and direction of the PAGEANT DIRECTOR. Willful disobedience by royalty, parents, or other associated persons representing the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST of the instructions of the PAGEANT DIRECTOR will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate dismissal. The PAGEANT DIRECTOR is supported by the full force of the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST Board of Directors and the Director’s decisions are final.
If QUEEN breaches any provision of this Agreement, refuses to carry out any service or duty required hereunder, makes a material misrepresentation or untrue statement that causes any warranty or acknowledgment herein to be false, then CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST shall have the right to declare this Agreement terminated and, upon the provision of 24 hours’ notice to the person, CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST may divest the QUEEN of her title and have the sole right to select a successor. Loss of title and the return by QUEEN all prizes awarded, crown, banner, to the CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST Board of Directors to the PAGEANT DIRECTOR within 48 hours after notice of termination.
