WHEN IS THE CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST PAGEANT?
The 2024 Pageant will be held on August 18 at 10:00 AM at the Carencro Community Center. On stage for Teen Miss, Miss, and Ms will begin at 1:00 PM.

WHO CAN COMPETE IN THE CARENCRO C’EST BON SEASONING FEST PAGEANT?
Anyone with a passion for the C’est Bon Seasoning Fest can compete in the Pageant. However, to compete for MISS C’est Bon Seasoning Fest (18-23 years old), you must reside in one of the following parishes: Lafayette, Vermillion, Acadia, Evangeline, St. Landry, St. Martin, Iberia, or St. Mary, unless express permission is given by Ms. Alex. Ms. (34 years – up), Miss (18-23 years), and Teen (15-17 years) each has a contract to sign and to which they are bound to for one year. Please review the contract if you are interested in competing for either the Ms., Miss, or Teen title. Miss, Teen, and Ms. are all exclusive titles, meaning you cannot hold another beauty title during your reign.

HOW DO I GET AN ENTRY FORM?
Entry forms for the pageant are available to be filled out online only at https://cestbonseasoningfest.com/pageant-entry-form/
WHEN DOES REGISTRATION END?
Registration ends August 11, 2024. Late registration for Teen Miss, Miss, and Ms. requires approval from the pageant director and a $20 late fee.
CAN I REGISTER FOR THE PAGEANT ON PAGEANT DAY?
Pageant day registration is permitted for the children’s pageant only and will incur the late fee. Cash is the only payment form accepted on pageant day. Pageant day registration is NOT permitted for Teen Miss, Miss, or Ms.
IS THERE A REQUIRED MEETING BEFORE THE PAGEANT FOR MISS CONTESTANTS?
No. Information will be sent to the email address on the registration form.
WHICH DIVISIONS COMPETE IN AN INTERVIEW COMPETITION?
Only the Ms. (24 years old and up), Miss (18-23 years old), and Teen Miss (15-17 years old) compete in interviews.
WHAT TIME AND WHERE ARE INTERVIEWS?
Interviews are at the Carencro Community Center (same building as the pageant) and will begin at 8:00 AM.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR FOR THE INTERVIEW?
Interview contestants should wear a skirt suit, pantsuit, or business dress that is flattering in color and style to the individual contestant, properly fit, and of a conservative length. Contestants are not required to wear stockings or a particular color, style, or heel height of shoe. Interview shoes should be professional, compliment the contestant’s overall look, and not distract from the contestant’s message or image. The attire for the interview should be professional.
HOW SHOULD I DO MY HAIR OR MAKEUP FOR THE INTERVIEW?
Hair and makeup should be professional, well-groomed, and age-appropriate.
WHAT ARE THE PORTIONS OF THE INTERVIEW COMPETITION?
Ms., Miss, and Teen Contestants will participate in a traditional interview with a three person panel.
WHAT CAN CONTESTANTS EXPECT IN THE INTERVIEW COMPETITION?
Contestants will be sitting face-to-face with the judges for conversation. This portion of the interview competition will assess the contestant’s conversation skills, ability to respond to intimate inquiry, understanding of her responsibilities and contract as Teen, Miss, or Ms., and ability to explain aspects and information about the festival. The Judges will also assess each contestant’s personality, confidence, and speaking skills. No one other than the contestant, judges, and timekeeper will be allowed to be present during the interview competition.
HOW LONG IS THE THE INTERVIEW COMPETITION?
Each Teen Miss Contestant will meet with each of the four Judges for five minutes. Each Miss and Ms. Contestant will meet with each of the Judges for eight minutes.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR FOR THE MODELING COMPETITION?
Contestants 10 years old and younger should wear Sunday Best. Typically, this means a tea-length silk or cotton smocked dress, white tights or socks, and white dress shoes.
Contestants 11 years old and older should wear Formal Attire. This means a properly fitting formal gown that is flattering in color and style for that particular contestant. The hem of the gown should touch the floor while modeling but should not puddle on the ground or be stepped on while modeling. The judges will be eye-level to the stage floor and the contestant’s feet. Particular shoes are not required, but if shoes will be seen we recommend clear or nude heels. Shoes should not distract from the contestant’s overall look. The contestant should be able to walk and model gracefully. All contestants should be well-groomed, with hair free of flyaways and prepared for a formal event. Attire should be clean, well-fit, and free from marks, snags, and wrinkles.
WHAT DO THE JUDGES SCORE DURING THE MODELING COMPETITION?
Contestants 14 years old and younger will be judged on hair, makeup, wardrobe, personality, confidence, poise, grace, and beauty. Contestants 15 years old and older will be judged on their introduction, answer to their on-stage question, hair, makeup, wardrobe, personality, confidence, poise, grace, and beauty. All judge’s decisions are final.
IS THE CONTESTANT BIO/APPLICATION JUDGED?
No. Contestants are not scored on the content of their Contestant Bio or entry form.
WHICH OF THE FESTIVAL TITLES ARE CONTRACTED?
Ms. (24 years- up), Miss (18-23 years old), and Teen (15-17 years old) divisions enter a contract with the Festival.
IS THE PAGEANT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
Yes. Anyone who pays the admission fee can attend.
IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND THE PAGEANT?
Yes. Event admission is $5.00 cash for each guest. EVERYONE except the contestant must pay the $5.00 per person.
WHO CAN ENTER THE PAGEANT VENUE FOR FREE?
ONLY a contestant can enter the pageant without paying the $5.00 door admission.
ARE THERE ANY RULES FOR SPECTATORS AT THE PAGEANT?
Bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated by any contestant, representative, sponsor, parent, or guest. Bad sportsmanship will result in the disqualification of the represented contestant and the individual will be asked to leave the premises without the benefit of a refund. This includes disrespectful comments about contestants and profanity. Parents and spectators may stand behind the judges, however, you are prohibited from leaning over the ropes around the judges or entering the judging area. Child contestants are not to be placed on top of the judging table. The judges will have a clear view of all contestants from their table. The judges may speak or wave to younger contestants.
